NKADD Updates Its Comprehensive Economic Development StrategyThe NKADD recently completed the annual update of its Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). In 2007 the NKADD prepared a completely new CEDS. The CEDS is a part of a continuing economic development planning process aimed at providing an analysis of Northern Kentucky’s economic successes, problems and opportunities; setting forth a plan of action including goals and objectives; and establishing measures to determine whether and to what extent goal and objectives have been met. This plan conforms to requirements of the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Reform Act of 1998 that requires an economic development strategy in order to qualify for assistance under most EDA programs. This new plan and the 2008 Update is the latest in the continuous preparation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. It can be reviewed at by clicking here or by contacting the Area Development District. The 2007 Plan and this 2008 Update serves to continue in making the CEDS and up-to-date working document to guide the economic development of the NKADD region. It places priority on creating 50,000 new jobs, health care affordable housing, higher paying jobs, and senior citizen funding. For further information, contact Robert Schrage at .
