Medicare InfoMedicare Information Starting January 1, 2006, the new Medicare prescription drug plans will be available. Everyone with Medicare is eligible for this coverage, regardless of income and resources, health status, or current prescription expenses. Insurance companies and other private companies will work with Medicare to offer these drug plans. Like other insurances, if you join you will pay a monthly premium and share in the cost of your prescriptions.
