Housing and HomelessnessThe Human Services Division is involved in the provision of housing and supportive services to the homeless through the following means: The Program Linking Northern Kentucky Services (P.L.A.N.K.S.) is administered by the Human Services Division. The Northern Kentucky Area Development District is the lead agency and fiscal agent for this H.U.D funded supportive housing grant that provides supportive services and scattered site transitional housing to homeless individuals and families. The supportive services and scattered site transitional housing are provided through five contracting agencies including: BAWAC (859) 371-4410 - Employment Training Center for Independent Living Options (859) 341-4346 - Case Management for the Physically and Cognitively Impaired - Life Skills Training - Interpreter Services; Training on Use Of Durable Medical Equipment NorthKey (859) 431-1888 - Case Management - psychotherapy component - Scattered Site Transitional Housing Transitions (859) 291-3660 - Substance Abuse Treatment Women's Crisis Center (859) 431-1888 (800) 928-3335 - Case Management for Victims of Domestic Violence
Rural Case Management- The Northern Kentucky Area Development District is also the lead agency and fiscal agent for this H.U.D funded supportive housing initiative that provides case management to homeless individuals and families primarily in the five rural Northern Kentucky counties. The Human Services Division administers this program and contracts for case management services through the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission (859) 581 -6607.
