HUMAN SERVICES STAFF Carol Marek Coordinator of the Human Services Department Carol has been with the NKADD for over twenty-five years. Prior to coming to the NKADD Carol worked in the aging field for five years. She has a Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Clair. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Huryz ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Naomi R. Miller Human Services Specialist Area Agency on Aging Naomi has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and has worked in the field of aging in Northern Kentucky since 1997. She came to the Area Development District in 2000. Her primary responsibility in the Human Services Division is Coordinator of the Family Caregiver Support Program of Northern Kentucky. Naomi has developed knowledge of resources available to senior adults in Northern Kentucky. She has worked with individuals who are in critical situations and with agencies in the community who offer services available to meet those individuals’ particular circumstances. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Janet Stickels LSW, Case Manager for the Family Caregiver Support Program Janet joined the NKADD in 2005. Janet’s primary responsibilities include home visits and assessing the needs of our clientele. Through the Family Caregiver Support Program, Janet helps establish services such as; in-home respite, adult day care, supplemental services and extended respite. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sue Williams Program Manager Aging and Disability Resource Center As program manager for the Aging and Disability Resource Center, Sue Williams, RN, BSN, began the task of developing a new community-wide “one-stop” long term support resource center to provide specialized information and assistance in the winter of 2005. Sue has worked in the area of aging for a number of years, at both a community level and acute care setting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kelly Bond
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shannon Kelch Human Services Specialist Shannon has been with the NKADD for nine years and has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. Shannon currently handles all financial billing and reporting for the Human Services Division, including the aging and housing programs. Shannon is also the primary NKADD representative for the Council on Aging's Focal Point Committee. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Linda Dawson - Human Services Division Administrative Assitant ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amy Stephens Database Administrator Kentucky Homeless Management Information System Amy joined the Human Services division in 2003. Amy has a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, is a certified Helpdesk Manger with the National Helpdesk Institute and has eight years experience as a Support Dept. manager. She has served on advisory councils and beta testing groups for Bowman Systems, National Helpdesk Institute, USPS, and Star Certification. Her current responsibilities include, maintaining the security and quality of the statewide homeless database, resolving user issues, reporting, creating agreements, establishing procedures and policies for the program, ensuring compliance, monitoring, assisting in User Group meetings, maintaining the KYHMIS and Human Services websites and representing the KYHMIS. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
