The Nutrition Program for the Northern Kentucky Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living for older adults includes congregate meals that are served in senior and nutrition sites and home delivered meals that are delivered to a home. These meals are funded through the Older Americans Act Title III-C, state and local funds and there are no income guidelines and no charge to receive a meal. Donations for meals are accepted. The program solicits and collects donations from meal recipients and the community-at-large as well. Income received from donations is used to provide more meals each month. There are about 200 volunteers, many of whom are they are seniors, to serve congregate meals and deliver home delivered meals. The Northern Kentucky Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living supports senior and nutrition sites so that older adults have the opportunity to socialize with friends and neighbors. These sites provide not only meals but also education about nutrition and other activities. For a senior center or nutrition site near you, to volunteer or make a donation please contact a site that is listed with the senior center services program page. To receive more information about home delivery meal service please contact the Northern Kentucky Aging and Disability Resource Center at 859.692.2480. Eligibility for Congregate Meal Service
