HUMAN SERVICES MISSION STATEMENT


The Human Services Division seeks to enhance the quality of life for all Northern Kentuckians by planning and providing high quality training, development, advocacy and programs to assist Northern Kentucky residents in leading meaningful and dignified lives.

The Human Services Division addresses a wide variety of issues including long term care and family support services and health. Federal,state and local funds are subcontracted with profit and nonprofit agencies.NKADD is designated as the Area Agency on Aging which is part of the division's responsibilities.

To carry out this mission, the Human Services Division is involved with the following activities:

Family Caregiver Support

Homecare

Senior Activities: Senior Expo & Senior Games

Personal Care Attendant

Council On Aging

Aging Programs and Services (Title III)

Adult Day Care 

Personal Care Attendant Program

Continuum of Care

Housing and Homelessness

Mental Health & Aging Coalition 

Kentucky Caregiver Support Program (Grandparent Support)

A wide variety of services are provided through many of these programs. Technical assistance and training can be provided from division staff.Human Services staff also participate in statewide and community activities that impact the Northern Kentucky Community such as The Elder Maltreatment Alliance.

Goals of the division include: assessing community needs; developing programs to meet identified needs; implementing programs; educating the Northern Kentucky community; and advocating on behalf of the Northern Kentucky community.
