The Dayton Housing Authority seeks a highly skilled manager with experience in planning, organizing, and administering community development and housing programs, as well as projects of the City of Dayton. The Executive Director is responsible for carrying out the policies and procedures, programs, and day-to-day operations of the public housing units maintained by the Dayton Housing Authority, the City of Dayton, and other agencies and organizations to address the area’s public housing concerns.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to direct, coordinate, and monitor the performance of subordinates and professional consultants; plan, develop and administer multiple significant funding streams, analyze cash flows, and monitor investment with accuracy. A successful candidate will effectively convey key and critical information to the Dayton Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, federal and state officials, and community representatives regarding the operation of the Dayton Housing Authority.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related area from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in low-income housing with HUD or Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Housing programs, including at least two years at the supervisory or managerial level.
Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 DOQ
