Employment Connections

Program Description

Employment Connections provides a seamless transition of services that build on opportunities designed to assist Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (K-TAP) and SNAP recipients to attain their highest potential, maintain meaningful employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency. Employment Connections serves Boone, Bourbon, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Kenton, Nicholas, Owen, Pendleton, and Scott counties.

Eligibility

KTAP participants of the Employment Connections program are referred exclusively by the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS). SNAP recipients can be referred by DCBS or self- refer by contacting Employment Connections directly.

Who does the program benefit / What are the benefits

Employment Connections provides employment opportunities to K-TAP and SNAP recipients by assisting participants to develop skills to obtain, retain and/or upgrade employment skills and secure employment.

Services Offered

Employment Connections offer clients work experience in non-profit agencies, job readiness training, unsubsidized employment opportunities as well as wage subsidy for K-TAP clients.
