Grant County’s Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) adds Kentucky Career Center services to their Crittenden, Kentucky location

The NKY Workforce Investment Board (NKWIB), in conjunction with the Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board, recently certified the newest Northern Kentucky Career Center Access Point which is housed at the Grant County Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) office located at 520 Violet Road, Crittenden, Kentucky. This is the first DCBS office in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to serve as an official Kentucky Career Center Access Point.
“Placement of Kentucky Career Center services within a DCBS office makes perfect sense because many individuals accessing services at DCBS are also in need of employment-related assistance,” stated Correy Eimer, NKWIB Director.
Grant County’s Judge/Executive Chuck Dills added, “I’m proud of the partnership that’s in place between DCBS and the Kentucky Career Center. This is a great example of how organizations can come together to meet the holistic needs of Grant Countians and empower them by providing services and support that will lead to gainful employment.”
DCBS staff received training on how to help their clients get connected to the workforce services offered through the Kentucky Career Center network of partner organizations. Additionally, Brighton Center (subcontractor of the NKWIB) holds regular office hours at this location to provide support for individuals needing employment assistance.
